I’m finally doing it. I’m digging in. I’m taking on the great white whale, the crown jewel of American literature. The first page is one of my very favorites in the world (a damp, drizzly November in my soul etc.) but I’ve never made it any further. Until now. Here we go…

I read this in high school (IN HIGH SCHOOL), which was way too early. I was completely thrown when they kept calling the whale a “fish.” I may have been a snooty kid. Good luck!
