Franz Schubert: “Impromptu in G-flat Major, Op. 90, No. 3” - Vladimir Horowitz

I basically listen to Schubert all day long lately. At home, at work, in the car. The string quartets mostly, but a healthy dose of his later piano works as well. I could try to break that down and look at it more closely and analyze what, if anything, it means and why it hits my heart the way it always does but instead I’ll just stop, for once. I’ll just keep listening. I’ll just say that it’s wonderful and heartbreaking and perfect and exactly why music is the only thing that works some days.
