Passenger - Lisa Hannigan
Lisa Hannigan, or rather, her voice, has long held a special place in my heart. At first she was simply “the girl singing on all those Damien Rice songs that I want to know more about”, and then she went off a few years ago and started doing her own solo thing, which was its own kind of magic at times. I don’t always love every song she sings - though I do love a fair number of them - and I’m not sure that I could exactly explain why her voice always warms me. But it does.
She put out another record, her second, late last year and I’ve been spinning this song in my car ever since.
