I asked Elizabeth, a friend of mine from high school, to write a piece for BWDR, and she turned in this wonderful essay on Waitress, motherhood, and personhood. You should definitely go read it - and also see the film if you ever get the chance, because it’s an often overlooked “gem” in the truest sense of the word. I still remember crying in the theater as the credits rolled…
