22 Notes

My daughter is currently obsessed with 1980s and 90s era Madonna and, randomly a song on her greatest hits collection - “Live to Tell” - that I’d never even heard until she started playing it over and over last week. It’s not a good song, at all, and is literally surrounded by several fantastic ones (“Borderline”, “Open Your Heart”, “Like a Prayer”, etc) but still this one plays on in our house again and again (battling in volume with my son’s much better but still random obsession with an instrumental lullabye version of The Beatles “And I Love Her” that he’s had on repeat for nearly an hour now).

Thus, Quiet Time, at least this week, is very very unquiet. She is singing along with “Live To Tell” right now as I type this.

And the picture above? Oh, that’s Madonna performing the song “for hundreds of people”. She drew it today while listening to it for the 846th time.
