It tickles me to no end that Wes Anderson’s latest, Moonrise Kingdom, is being met with overwhelming critical success. Anderson nearly always has his critical detractors - “too much artifice!” “too naive and/or twee!” “I don’t get it because I’m a dumb critic!” - but this time around even most of them seem to be giving him favorable reviews. 98% at Rotten Tomatoes!
